Create a refined and culturally sensitive dining environment that harmoniously reflects both Caribbean and Japanese influences. The space should evoke a graceful outdoor aesthetic suited to a warm climate, while showcasing the natural beauty of plant life and celebrating spatial openness. Emphasis should be placed on cultural references, material lightness, and visual expansion within a compact footprint.

SOLUTION

We developed a sophisticated concept where furniture and lighting choices subtly reference the cultural identities of the cuisine. Lightweight chairs evoke the breezy elegance of outdoor dining in tropical climates. Hanging plants and transparent glass vessels highlight the organic beauty of greenery, reinforcing a serene and biophilic atmosphere. Negative space and voids are purposefully celebrated to enhance flow and calm, while angular floor tiling was introduced to visually widen the interior footprint. The entire concept was modelled in SketchUp and SolidWorks and rendered in 3ds Max with V-Ray for visual accuracy and material realism.
